Armando Galarraga perfect through 7
Armando Galarraga has a perfect game through 7 innings against the Indians. This is getting crazy.

Perhaps this is what the end of the steroid era looks like.

Perfect through 8. Just 75 pitches. Ridiculous.

Branyan grounds out to second base. A perfect game through eight innings.

It's 1-0 Tigers, btw.
Mark Grudzielanek, Mike Redmond, and Jason Donald are due up for the Indians in the 9th inning.

This is a crazy fast game. About an hour and a half so far.

Hmmm... Didn't someone around here say, not too long ago, that we should expect more of these?

Re: Armando Galarraga perfect through 7
You know there have been a lot of struggling baseball teams offensively this year. The Astros and the Mariners have struggled mightily as a team. The Phillies got shut out recently in three straight games and the D-Backs are in the midst of a prolonged scoreless streak. Add to that, two perfect games and maybe a third. Where did all the offense go?

Is this proof of the league being "watered down?"

75 pitches through 8 innings. Wow. MLB Network is showing the 9th inning live.

Re: Armando Galarraga perfect through 7
Austin Jackson just made a ridiculous over the shoulder catch on a full sprint for out #1. Wise-esque you might say.
