Hernandez batting order number

Is there any reason he always bats toward the bottom? What would be wrong with putting him after Rolen?

Well this may be a rule I don't know about. Is it an NL only rule? Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Pudge bat up in the order for Detroit?

It's in Dusty Baker's book of rules.

Re: Hernandez batting order number

Personally I think it's time to go the LaRussa route. #7) Catcher, #8) Pitcher, #9) Stubbs.

Actually in all seriousness I think that would be effective in one case: when Leake is pitching.

Leake should be hitting 2nd when he pitches.
