Re: 8/4/10 - Reds at Pirates

Gomes can't hit the inside half of the plate, Bruce can't hit anything away...what if we FUSED THEM INTO ONE SUPER-OUTFIELDER that could cover the entire strike zone. (The spare parts would actually be Willy Taveras.)

Sounds like we're going to see Salt (just got off the phone with the missus)

And with that...1-0 Pirates. McCutchen dinger.

Cueto doesn't look good early. Hope the Reds offense can score some runs or it's going to be a loooooong afternoon.

Actually I'm not watching the game but it seems to be good luck to mention that the pitcher looks weak early. It always works for Arroyo anyway.

Could not disagree more on Inception. I don't see ANY parallels to the Matrix. And it was outstanding.

Doesn't look good early? He's pitched 6 pitches. Did they shorten the game today to 2 innings?

Curious that Bruce was in the lineup last night against the lefty Maholm and not in the lineup today against the righty Karstens. But I understand Dusty wanting to give the young man a rest. His brain needs it.

I don't think Dusty will say it, but I think Stubbs has lost his job.

Issue for Stubbs is not his starting job. Issue for Stubbs is whether Dickerson will soon replace him on the roster.

Question of the day:

Will the Astros sweep? Carpenter vs Happ

I say they DO sweep.
