    Pat Darcy p

    WP: Pat Darcy (9-5)
    LP: Bruce Kison (9-10)
    Sv: Rawly Eastwick (14)

The only hits for the Pirates were a leadoff single by Rennie Stennett in the first inning, a leadoff double by Ed Kirkpatrick in the fourth, a one-out single by Ken Brett in the eighth, and a one-out single by Dave Parker in the ninth. Pete Rose's two-out RBI single to score Bill Plummer in the seventh inning was the 2500th hit of his career.

I'm sure RedsZone '75 howled loudly with their displeasure at the sight of this lineup--#5 starter Darcy getting the start, Bench, Perez, Concepcion, and Foster all getting the day off, and Geronimo batting fifth!
