Re: Giants/Cards watch/ division race
Cubs lead 3-2 going into the 9th. Marmol strikes out three in the 9th giving up just one hit. Braves win 5-3. Marmol also walks three before that hit, a bases-clearing triple by Ankiel. Cubs lose in Cubs-like fashion.

Re: Giants/Cards watch/ division race
No matter who wins it is going to end up good for the Reds. Although I would prefer that the Giants sweep here.
EDIT: I have no problem with the Cardinals making the playoffs, but my first, and really only, wish is that the Reds do. And winning the division seems to be the most direct way of accomplishing this. Last edited by texasdave; 08-20-2010 at 08:36 PM. |

Re: Giants/Cards watch/ division race
If Homer throws anything like he did last time out the Reds should have a good shot at winning.
