Joey Votto Autographed Ball Question

My buddy has 2 Votto signed baseballs and I am looking to buy one. What is a reasonable price to ask for? I'm not good at judging the value of things lol

Re: Joey Votto Autographed Ball Question

Saying he's your friend is kinda hard to judge..Straight up from a shop I'd pay 100 for it. Of course that value is going to go up as he gets even better.

Re: Joey Votto Autographed Ball Question

$100 was what I was thinking. I don't want to rip him off...

If he's your friend, he should work with you and vice versa. 100 is very reasonable.

Re: Joey Votto Autographed Ball Question

A store at the mall here in Lexington has several of them for $90.

They've also got a ton of Brandon Phillips and Jay Bruce for $75 as well.

Haha dang, if those are worth so much then how much are my Pete Rose, Ken Griffey JR, and Johnny Bench balls worth?

Re: Joey Votto Autographed Ball Question

A) Are you sure they are real?
B) What type of pen was used to get the autograph?
C) Is it a authentic ML ball or some other kind of baseball
D) Where is the signature?
E) If the sig is legit, a black or blue ink pen was used, it's a true ML baseball and he signed it on teh sweet spot, top value right now I would list around $50-75.

Re: Joey Votto Autographed Ball Question

A) I know for a fact the Johnny Bench one was, I was sitting right next to him in the Diamond seats in 2006.
B) I dont know..
C) All are Major League Baseballs
D) Bottom of the ball/Opposite side of logos.
E) Blue pen on Jr and Rose, Black on Bench's ball. So, the price tag for 3 future Hall of Fame players is under $100?

Your bench one if in mint condition might fetch around $75-$80, the Rose one same price range and Jr. maybe near $60. Alot depends on the quality of the autograph, where it is signed, how it was signed and such.

Re: Joey Votto Autographed Ball Question

I know we're getting off topic but....

I've got a Mantle ball that I've heard is worth several hundred since he died. I really should look into selling it, but haven't gotten around to it. Plus my dad gave it to me (Mantle was signing at a trade show he was at), and even though he says to do whatever I want with it I'm still not sure how I feel about selling it.

The value isn't probably that high unless you can get it certified.

I have George Grande's autograph on the back of a Jason Larue baseball card. I don't think either him or me realized what he was signing.

Oh, I also have taken to getting hockey autographs on baseballs. The players never know exactly what to think.
