Winter Meetings: Reds Outlook
The Winter Meetings begin tomorrow. What will the Reds come away with?

I think Walt's looking to make a splash, but I doubt he drops the deed to the farm for anyone. Left fielder would be much appreciated.

More than any other Reds GM in recent history, I trust WJ not to do anything stupid that would jeopardize the progress that has been made within the organization.

I agree. But strangely, I also trust that he will pull the trigger on a calculated, strategic blockbuster if one presents itself. Good feeling to have about a GM, eh?

I also. I suspect that he has one or two in mind. If they can't be done for what he has in mind, he stands pat. I also think that the contracts we have seen in the last few days, make it a little less likely that he deals.

Re: Winter Meetings: Reds Outlook
I'm not sure but it seems to me most of the Reds trades and FA signings the past several years have happened after the Winter Meetings.
Anyone remember the last significant trade the Reds made during the Winter Meetings? |

Re: Winter Meetings: Reds Outlook
Don't know how possible it would be, but I'd love to see the Reds pick up Jose Reyes.

Re: Winter Meetings: Reds Outlook
I say this only half tongue in cheek: Tim Leary for Hal Morris?
