Official Cordero Cy Young Watch Thread

Last nights performance moves Cordero to 9th, one better than Carpenter in ESPN's Cy predictor!

Let's track his movement up the list!

Just shows how little the four-letter network knows. On one hand they want to tell us that the Reds are frauds, but on the other they want to tell us "the most hated Red" is Cy Young material. I don't get it.

It's just the result of a simple math formula coupled with some questionable counting stats. How worthless are saves, and how deceptive are "vultured" wins?

Cordero gets bonus points for blowing a save and the offense bailing him out in the bottom of the 9th.

Just the fact that he moved UP after last night's performance says all I need to know about the formula used in those rankings.

He's back to 10th place, but please note that he'd be in 7th were he in the AL.

Dang. I wonder where I am on the list. If CoCo can be top 10, then I should be somewhere in the top 25.

You know what would be awesome is if the Cards get shut out of the playoffs AND all 3 major awards.

C'mon, Buster Posey! Lead your team to the playoffs!

That would be great, I read an article a while back where a cardinal beat writer was speculating how cards will probably get the MVP, Cy Young, ROY, Manager of the Year, and the division and no team has ever done that before.

Re: Official Cordero Cy Young Watch Thread

Look out Roy Halliday! On the strength of bonus points rewarded "for leading your team to the division championship" based on current standings, but most likely due to him staying on the pine the last few games, our hero climbs to #8!
