Who are you taking in the World Series?
I honestly like both teams and believe it should be a great match up, no matter who wins.
I like the Rangers offense better than the Giants but I like the Giants pitching better than the Rangers. I'd like to see Texas win because of Josh Hamilton and the fact that they have never won a championship before. Then again I'd like to see the Giants win because I'm old and set in my ways of always rooting for the club that represents the National League. If I had to bet, my money would be on the Giants. What does everyone else think? |

I think the Rangers win it.
For the record, NY over Minn. is the only series I've picked right the postseason. |

Re: Who are you taking in the World Series?
Definitely rooting for the Giants. The New York Giants were my Dad's favorite team and I always root for the NL team no matter what.
I think the Giants will win. Their pitching is much deeper in both the rotation and the pen, and I have a feeling that Lee is due for a bad start. Plus they seemed to be riding a wave right now.

Lincecum, Cain, Sanchez and Bumgarner > Lee, Wilson, Lewis and Hunter. In SF, the Rangers lose one of their offensive guys with Vlad sitting out or one of the other OF. In Texas, the Giants get to add a bat. The Giants have a better pen as well. I'll take SF.

Re: Who are you taking in the World Series?
I pick the Giants to win, because of greater pitching depth.

Re: Who are you taking in the World Series?
The Giants will join the Red and White Sox in breaking a long drought to win a World Series for their franchise. In this case it will be a first for the San Francisco Giants.

Re: The Official 2010 World Series Thread: Texas Rangers @ San Francisco Giants
I am really looking forward to this series, particularly Lee/Lincecum and Sanchez/Lewis (if that one indeed takes place). I'm a pitching junkie and this seres is (at least on paper) a match made in heaven.
