My wife will have a meltdown when I tell her. The earlier and earlier rolling out of Christmas drives her nuts.

On Page 2 on the ESPN website, Gregg Easterbrook does a weekly column called Tuesday Morning Quarterback about the NFL and other things. One of the recurring themes in his column is the theory of Christmas Creep in where people write in and tell about early Christmas marketing. He also does a bit about the unified theory of creep where people will tell about the same thing only it's about everything else but Christmas.

They actually started it this past Friday and I nearly drove off the road when I heard it on my way to work. That is WAY too early to start playing 24/7 Christmas music and this is coming from someone who adores the Christmas season.
