Good for Aaron! Hope he turns it around. He certainly left some good memories behind here.

Pretty much the best case scenario for the big guy. Good luck Aaron!

I wonder if he'll pitch against us in relief when we go there for our annual 20 inning game

I hope he does well too out there, except when they play the Reds. He deserves to close out his career on a high note and especially where he lives.

Re: Padres close to signing Harang

I'm kind of glad to see this, but kind of depressed by it, as well. Harang was one of my favorite Reds, and it is a bit sad to see him go...but, unfortunately, there was no room for the guy on the staff.

Re: Padres close to signing Harang

I always said Harang would have been an absolute stud in a big park like San Diego. He obviously doesn't have the stuff he had a few years ago, but I think he could still put together some solid years out there. Good luck to the big man

Re: Padres close to signing Harang

Harang was a great Red. He always gave it everything he had, and had some really good years on some really bad teams.

I hope he can find success in San Diego, his home. I'd hate to see such a good guy go out on a sour note.

Re: Padres close to signing Harang

VERY relieved if he doesn't go to the Cardinals. I envisioned that since last summer and it made me sick to my stomach. Especially when he wins Comeback Player of the Year.

One of the more predictable moves of the off season. I wish him well and I think SD is a place made for him. If he can't be successful there then he really is through

Re: Padres close to signing Harang

Without looking at any numbers at all, is he a Reds Hall of Famer?
