Didn't see this posted here yet, the new Bats team blog, The Bats Signal
launched yesterday, and it looks like it could be quite fun to read once the season starts:
Our goal throughout the season is to provide the fans with a behind the scenes look at life in Triple-A, as well as keeping you updated on the daily happenings with some of the Redsí top prospects on and off the field. Seeing as Nick and I do not travel with the team, how will we be able to keep you updated with life on the road you ask? That is where the third member of our team comes into play, Bats radio announcer Matt Andrews. He will make posts on the road, as well as send back information to us at home to put on the blog. Several times throughout the season we will occasionally get our interns involved in the action so if you see a post from someone you donít recognize at first thatís who they are.
We very much want this to be an interactive experience for every single fan that visits the site. We will have contests, giveaways and several other chances for fans to get directly involved. Questions, recommendations and ideas for things are always welcome and we will do our best to accommodate them.
I have always been jealous of other AAA teams that had behind the scenes blogs, so this is quite nice to see! Also, here is some video from the blog of Rick Sweet speech at the annual pre-season press conference yesterday:
