Charlie Sheen calls bluff: CBS cancels

Wow.

CBS has cancelled production of popular show Two And A Half Men on the grounds of the rant by star Charlie Sheen on the Alex Jones Radio Show this week.

Apparently they warned Sheen if he called out his bosses at CBS, including producer Chuck Lorre, they would cancel the program.

Quote:
"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of 'Two and a Half Men' for the remainder of the season," CBS said in a statement late Thursday night.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Sheen called into a nationally syndicated radio show on Thursday and unleashed a shocking rant in which he attacked Alcoholics Anonymous and his hit CBS show.

Good riddance Charlie. That show jumped the shark a couple years ago anyway.

Something tells me Charlie is going to find his current lifestyle difficult to maintain without a source of income.

Maybe. It certainly would get the normal prudent person "by", but for some reason 'ole Charlie doesn't strike me as being a normal prudent person.

Really? What makes you think that? He seems perfectly rational to me.

I'm sure the writers and other people that work on that show are thrilled.

Its the top rated sitcom on TV. And compared to what else is on TV its pretty much comic gold.

Short term, probably not. No work, no pay. Long term, if they get someone who is at least halfway sane in there to replace Sheen, they keep working and won't have to worry about any work stoppages.

I wonder if they would just try to slide a new Charlie in like Darren on Bewitched? Difference is Charlie is the star.

They should bring Sheen back and add Lindsay Lohan to the cast. Then all would be well.

Re: Charlie Sheen calls bluff: CBS cancels

I never understood this show.

I wonder if Charlie was trying to sabbatoge the show on purpose for some reason or is just a little crazy right now and thought he could pull a power play on the suits at CBS.

I'm not sure there is a lot of logic behind what Sheen is doing. Briefcases of cocaine and porn stars will do that to you.

Are you talking about Charlie on the show or Charlie in real life? I am starting to get the two confused right now. Porn stars, drugs, booze, hookers, rehab, etc. I am having a tough time figuring out which is real and which is fake.
