How is Chris Carpenter Going to Explain This To His Son?
Surely everyone has said this enough to get it out of their system?
Surely someone has some new material to flog? I believe The Old Red Guard can't be pleased over what this Board has turned into. |

no doubt it's gotten a little old but I'm sure that Carpenter will give us some new comedy gold to "flog" as soon as he gets a start or two under his belt.

Re: How is Chris Carpenter Going to Explain This To His Son?
If you'd like to share your thoughts on the direction the board is taking, by all means do so. However, to center it around one joke is a bit different. The CC joke is of the best inside-jokes in RZ history (the best since I've been here). It seems from what I've seen that you are in the minority that believes the joke is no longer humorous. If you have a legitimate problem with the board, please voice it. Not ordering you to do this, or trying to be a mod, just sharing my viewpoint as another poster.
New material to flog- How's this: How will Puffy explain this to his son? 320

Reminds me of the gOrEdz backlash.
Wonder what the next meme will be? |

I'm going to take credit for starting the gOREdS thing.
I was much snarkier 8 or 9 years ago.

a friendly dig at people that come here just to cheerlead, especially when the team was losing alot. Now that the team is winning again, it's not needed as much.

Like all fads, eventually the novelty wears off. For some people its sooner than later. I'm a "sooner" guy but if others still get a kick out of it, more power to them. I just skip over it now.

Re: How is Chris Carpenter Going to Explain This To His Son?
Didn't another Carpenter thread get shut down earlier today?
As for the saying (I've said it just once), it is harmless to me. No worse than a :thumbdown or a . I now just scroll right by...unless it is executed flawlessly . Sure it doesn't bring anything to the proverbial table, but I don't find it vitriolic or "boorish", as it was called within the last day or so. I would ask, should this thread go in the site feedback section?

Re: How is Chris Carpenter Going to Explain This To His Son?
Since I've been reading this site, at least once a year there's been a thread pop up bemoaning the downfall of Redszone. I have a feeling that this will continue to be the best site on the net for Reds discussion, and a one-liner joke isn't going to change that.

Believe me, that needs not be explained to PP's son for him to understand. |

Point still stands. Every year there's a "What has become of Redszone?!?" thread.
