3/23/11 Reds @ Padres (SS)

Homer takes the bump.

Reds send 4 to the plate, 1 walk. No runs in the top of the 1st.

Didn't catch the full lineup, but it appears to be a mostly backup lineup playing against the Fathers this afternoon.

Max Venerable leads off San Diego's half w/ a deep drive to center. Bounces off the wall and Venable cirles the bases for an inside the park.
Denorfia follows w/ a sharp single and stolen base.
Orlando Hudson strikes out
Hawpe (Brad?) strikes out swinging.
Headly hits one to CF for a single, scoring Denorfia. Heisy throws it into the bullpen advancing headly to 2b.
Cameron Maybin pops up to 1b to end the inning.

Cairo strikes out swinging.
1 hopper base hit to LF for Corky Fu Man Chu
homer hits into a double play to end the inning after faking a bunt and swinging away.

Re: 3/23/11 Reds @ Padres (SS)

Homer picks up a 3rd strike out in the bottom of the 2nd. I think gave up another hit, but no one scored.

2-2 after 2.

Phillips & Renteria w/ back to back singles to start the 3rd.
Hermedia grounds into a force out at 2nd.
Runners at the corners w/ 1 out for Fred Lewis.
Lewis strikes out for the 2nd out.
Heisey pops up to the catcher to end the threat.

Tim Stauffer pitching for the Padres by the way for those who care.

Edit: Homer did give up a hit, an infield single to SS in the 2nd.

Homer gives up 1 hit in the 3rd, and nothing else.
2-2 heading to the 4th.

Hard hit out for Juan
