Janish in the 2-hole?
With Gomes cemented in LF, how often are we going to see that?

Re: Janish in the 2-hole?
It's certainly a possibility given Stubbs inability to hit while batting at the top of order. I'm sure we'll see numerous lineup combinations as Dusty gets a feel for what will work best. Personally, I'd prefer Hanigan when he starts, batting 2nd.

Re: Janish in the 2-hole?
Not sure about this. The other day when Renteria got the start @ ss, he batted 2nd. Yesterday Janish got the start and batted 8th. I'm thinking Dusty is going to bat Janish 8th all year and Renteria might actually get more starts than we think.

Dusty loves having a shortstop bat second, so I wouldn't be suprised.

Re: Janish in the 2-hole?
I'd love to see Janish in the 2-hole all season long.
The lineup I'd prefer is: 1. Stubbs CF 2. Janish SS 3. Votto 1B 4. Bruce RF 5. Rolen 3B 6. Hanigan/Hernandez C 7. Phillips 2B 8. Heisey LF 9. Wood P I know that's one lineup I'll never see all year, as Phillips will never be put in the #7 spot. |
