Tuesday 05/10/11 MiLB Updates

Mudcats news, again...

OF Denis Phipps has been placed on the seven-day disabled list with an injured finger, while OF Kyle Day has been reinstated to the Mudcats' roster from Billings.

Not happy about the injured finger but I'd much rather Day be on the field than Phipps.

Re: Tuesday 05/10/11 MiLB Updates

Daniel Corcino is on the mound for Dayton and he went 1-2-3 with a very quick first. I wasn't counting, but it had to be less than 10 pitches.

Mudcats up 6-1 in the bottom of the 4th. DT was scratched from his scheduled start. Tabor started instead.

EDIT: Box Score on the Internet is wrong. DT started and is still in.

Another big night for Todd Frazier: 3-for-4 with two doubles.

The pain is over in Rochester. The silver lining is that Frazier went 3 for 4.

Dayton wins 4-2. Corcino went 5.2 scoreless. Sharky Rogers and Blaine Howell gave up a run apiece. Everybody in the lineup had a hit, and Hamilton two, with a double. Vidal, who has been looking good, homered.

McMurray flies out deep to left. Great play made by Justin Greene. 1 away top 8. Berry up.
