Reds sign Will Lentz off of a tryout. It may well never come to much, but this is an interesting FA signing. Lentz was a safety for the UK football team until concussions forced him to take a medical scholarship. Will played quite a bit at safety. He's VERY hard-nosed, an outstanding athlete and a really good kid. He was last listed as 6-3/220 on the UK FB roster. He came to UK as a QB with a very good arm, but a shoulder problem before his freshman year moved him to safety.

No idea on signing bonus, but I imagine he'll either be sent to Billings or Bakersfield, given that Torreyes is tearing it up in Dayton.
