Buckley?

I know that Walt said they took Sean in the sixth because they liked him as much as anyone on their board and I certainly take him at his word. I haven't been able to find any JC stats for him though or any scouting reports. Does anyone have anything on him? Especially power potential. TIA!

Hit .362 /.424 /.658 this past season. Good speed and big power potential.

Great, thanks DD! A 3B with a big bat was one thing I really wanted out of this draft. Hopefully he starts out strong and can move quickly thoughthe system.

Re: Buckley?

Maybe this isn't as weird as I think it is, but doesn't it seem odd Buckley was a relative unknown as far as big draft prospects go? If he has such great power potential, and his dad is a director of scouting, you'd think that mix of tools and pedigree would produce a prospect scouts would be ogling over. It's kind of ironic that he's so raw as a player. You'd think that regardless of tools, a kid in his situation would have developed pretty refined baseball skills.
