should the reds skip Bronsons next start?

I believe his next start is scheduled against the Blue Jays this weekend, given the HORRIBLE numbers Bronson has posted against them the last two times he has faced them maybe his next start should be skipped or pushed back?

I dont remember specifics, how bad did he do-I think I remember him blowing up one game and leaving in first or second inning maybe? Good thought though actually, maybe a skipped spot will help body recover more too? Or maybe this time will be his day and dominate them?

I believe in both outings in Toronto he got hammered, I mean hide your head and go home hammered.

Ugh, yeha, I remember one game like that, odd for a team to own you 2 times liek that though. Wonder if was something with the stadium, not comfortable with mound, lighting, etc?

yeah playing @toronto as a red has not been kind to him but he did pitch a couple really good outings against them as a red sox but that was also 5-6 years ago lol but maybe he is just not comfortable playing there and hopefully will have better luck at home against them either that or maybe bautista can hit the toyota tundra sign for us haha

Bronson has pitched well his last few outings. From a manager's standpoint, what happened to him against a team 2-3 years ago will in no way impact what he may or may not do on Sunday. He'll start.

why shouldn't it matter, Dusty uses stats from years gone by in player players all the time. If history shows that in his last two outings against the Blue Jays he got friggen hammered why wouldn't you consider it?

Re: should the reds skip Bronsons next start?

For those who are curious, Bronson is 2-5 with a 6.38 ERA in 11 career starts versus the Blue Jays.

His last start against them was in '09 (@TOR) when he lasted only 3 2/3 innings and gave up 7 runs on 8 hits.

His prior start before that was in '08 (also @TOR) where he got lit up for 10 runs and 11 hits (3 HR's) in only 1 inning.

With that said, give 'em the ball this weekend so he can put those bad memories to rest.
