See Dusty rule #23: No catcher is allowed to bat other than 7th or 8th.

But on the bright side, Heisey plays again! Shocking if he plays again tomorrow. Would like to see him play 10 in a row or so.

Brewboys up 3 zip. Pirates up 1 zip. Cards led 6-2 after six. They took Garcia out and the Gnats have scored three times in the 7th. 6-5 now.

Laynce Nix just worked an 11-pitch bases-loaded walk and Washington now leads 7-6.
Jayson Werth singles. 8-6.
