2011 International signing period info

From MLB Trade Rumors via Baseball America:

Less than thrilled by your team's draft haul? Don't forget about the July 2nd class of international players. This year's group is an improvement on the 2011 class, writes Ben Badler of Baseball America. He names the Yankees, Blue Jays, Rangers, Royals, Mariners, Pirates, Red Sox, and Reds as teams that could be active in the international market. Badler's info on a few of the top prospects:

Re: 2011 International signing period info

Good to see the Reds mentioned here. It was a bit frustrating that the article did not give any names of top Colombian prospects, after having said there were players there who could get $1 million plus. Bavasi has been quoted as saying the Reds have been working hard in Colombia.

Would love to see the Reds snag some highly-rated arms and/or infielders from LatAm this year.

Hearlded shortstops like Sano and Profar have fared particularly well since signing a couple years back.

I'd like to see them find a legitimate corner OF prospect.
