I wonder if Volquez the pitcher complains about lack of support from Volquez the fielder and Volquez the baserunner.
Phillips, Votto and Bruce are the chunks of meat in a thin soup. Can a pitcher be said to throw more than 100 mph if he can't control it and it hirts his arm? I wonder if Dodgers fans complain about how much time Vin Scully spends talking about Reds players. It sure is weird to be scoreboard-watching the Pirates. I figure by the All-Star break Marty and Jim will have figured out how to pronounce Lllvll. Is it too soon to talk of Marty and Jim? Seriously, are the Reds setting a record for most broadcasters in a season? How could a team with Corey Patterson and Edwin Encarnacion take two of three from the Reds? |

2 I'm pulling for the Pirates even at my own expense 3 Volquez probably wouldn't look so bad if not for wave athletes like Wood, Leake, and Arroyo 4 always surprises me that RedZone as a whole isn't interested in paying Phillips long term(at least with a relatively stupid contract)and that more often than not his impact on this team is constantly taken for granted. |
