Kenny Kelly and Eric Eymann Sighting

About a month ago, former Reds prospect, Kenny Kelly, ran head-first into an outfield wall and went to the hospital. Now he's back with the team and currently plays with former Reds prospect Eric Eymann. Check out the video here: http://topprospectalert.com/2011/07/...outfield-wall/

"He had three fractures near his nose and eye... but there were no broken bones."

Now that's quality reporting!

The bigger question is what kind of team plays in a park with unpadded concrete walls in the outfield? That's nuts.

I believe many of the minor league teams still have the old wood boards in the outfield that are not padded. Burlington Bees of the Midwest league was my hometown, and can tell you there is zero padding anywhere in the outfield.

They must've gotten the report from Brandon Phillips.

If we want to stretch it a bit, orthopedically, it's correct inasmuch as they don't refer to it as broken bones, but rather fractures LOL

That's about all the writer has going for him in that phrase. Sadly, I think more people think of fractures and breaks as being different than not.
