Friday 7/22/2011 Minor League updates
Todd Frazier was recalled from Triple-A Louisville to replace the injured Scott Rolen.
No news on who will replace Frazier in Louisville but I would guess Jose Castro. Not sure though. I'll try and find out. If it is Castro, I'd guess Buccholz would go up to Carolina OR they could activate Travis Webb and carry an extra pitcher. ANDDD Yorman Rodriguez was placed on the 7-day disabled list with shoulder tendinitis Edit: Maybe not. Arredondo was activated and Horst was optioned to Louisville, making their roster full. Edit 2: Reinke was placed on the DL. So maybe a position player move after all. Last edited by cinreds21; 07-22-2011 at 06:46 PM. |

Re: Friday 7/22/2011 Minor League updates
Very odd bottom of the first in Dayton
Billy Hamilton hits his first "out of the park" HR of the year to lead off the game for Dayton followed by a strikeout from Torreyes... 1-0 Dayton after 1

Mudcats lead 4-2 thanks to a bases clearing double by Henry Rodriguez and a solo shot by Felix Perez.

You forgot to mention Dogs and Cats living together...

Volquez has thrown five shutout innings (2 H, 0 BB, 5 K) and it's 1-0 Louisville on a 2B by Janish and single by Sappelt.

Re: Friday 7/22/2011 Minor League updates
It's Mitchell Clarke's first start for Dayton. How about him?: 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K.
Wonder who he's replacing in the rotation. It's 2-0. |

Re: Friday 7/22/2011 Minor League updates
Clarke (5 IP), Doyle (3 IP) and Hayes (1 IP) pull off Dayton's second straight shutout, 2-0, on a 3-hitter.
Torreyes was 0-4. Pity tomorrow night's pitcher for Peoria. |

Re: Friday 7/22/2011 Minor League updates
The Lookouts lose in the bottom of the ninth, so the Mudcats do not lose ground and stay 1.5 back from the Lookouts.
And a side note, I listened to the final half inning on the Stars radio. Wow. Horrible. They sounded like three high school kids. I could barely stand it. |

It's rehab night in Arizona. Burton pitched the first. Now it's Fairel. Reds lead 3-0 after two.
