Re: 7/29/11 - Giants at Reds
Nice job by Willis to get out of that only allowing 1 run. 3-2 Reds after 5 1/2

Re: 7/29/11 - Giants at Reds
That felt like a Houdini trick to get out of that only giving up a run. I thought for certain it was going to be disaster.

Re: 7/29/11 - Giants at Reds
Up to this point, I've been impressed by Willis. Considering what a disaster he's been the past few years, he's got to be on cloud 9 for him to be throwing well again. It probably feels like it's been forever for him.

Re: 7/29/11 - Giants at Reds
Offense of course..... scores it's 3....sees that the opposition has only scored 1 and takes the rest of the night off.
If the Giants had scored about 4-5 that inning....then the Offense would wake up again and score a few more to make it close. The 2011 Reds... We were always almost this close. |

Re: 7/29/11 - Giants at Reds
Let me rephrase, I'm ok with him hitting but he can't pitch anymore.

Re: 7/29/11 - Giants at Reds
Agreed. I trust him up at the plate as much as anyone the Reds could send in as a pinch-hitter, but I think it's probably a good idea to put someone else in to pitch.
