At this point it doesnt make sense to make a move unless it will help you in 2012 and beyond. No point mortgaging your future when its gonna be tough to make the playoffs either way.
It makes more sense to go after a free agent in the offseason and not give up any pieces then to trade for one now, and still have to pay them either way. |

Adding Hunter Pence would have brought a lot to this team and cost them not one single player that would have had an impact on the major league roster over the next 2-3 years. You would have solved 2 glaring issues and bettered your team. I have no problem with not going after Jiminez as I have real health concerns with him or Bourne as he will be a real PITA come the end of his contract due to his agent.
