Gotta believe it's to make room for Francisco . . . But with Costanzo, Soto, Rhinehart and maybe Puckett returning at some point (?), not to mention Grandal and Campbell, that's some serious power for Carolina.

Well, speaking of Puckett . . . He's hitting cleanup today for the AZL Reds.

They're scoreless in the third, with two hits, both from Juan Perez. Justice French on the hill.

From a reply to a PM I sent him shortly before he stopped posting, I think so. Such a pity.

I don't think that is an accurate representation of why cinreds21 isn't an active member of RedsZone any longer at all.

Mind elaborating as to why then because I do not really see it any other way.

I prefer to air my own laundry, not that of anyone else.

Let's just leave it at this: cinreds21 has his own reasons for not posting, and you can rest assured that they are not because he is upset that some posters asked him to elaborate on the nicknames of the Carolina Mudcats lineup.

AZL Reds lose. No Dailey = No win......I'm such a homer. Anyone know when Mitchell Clark's next scheduled start is.

Re: Friday 08/05/11 MiLB Updates

Francisco did take Costanzo's place on the Bats roster. He is in the lineup tonight against the Yanks.

Sappelt CF .317
Valaika 2B .242
Francisco 3B .295
Phipps DH .362
Hermida LF .310
Mesoraco C .301
Dorn 1B .259
Negron SS .205
Perez, F RF .182

Travis Wood on the mound.

It looks like he pitched 5-plus innings on Wednesday. So my guess would be Monday.

Phipps hitting cleanup. Kind of impressive, considering where he was two or three months ago.

Tied 1-1 in the 3rd.

Francisco is 2 for 2 with an RBI double.

Mes homers. Louisville down 3-2.

I really don't understand what has happened with Travis Wood. He's a less effective pitcher than he was two years ago in AAA, by far. How does that happen?
