Phils with consecutive singles to start the 8th. 6-3 twin killing. Blah blah someone made an out. Bottom of the 8th coming up, down by 3.

I took off for a pontoon ride and return to see you guys have not manufactured any runs yet --- I think I've seen this before

If the Reds don't score in this inning they will have tied their longest scoreless skein of the season. That is one serious Schneid.

You could probably take a slow boat to China and get there before Baker's Bunch scores. Dusty is pleased with his offense though, no baseclogging here.

Stubbs with his second hit of the night, anchored at first. F8 one down. Dusty not pinch-hitting for Soft J. For once I agree. What's the point? Soft J flies out on the first pitch, now 0-26. Stubbs hasn't moved a muscle since reaching first.
Down goes Frazier!! On strikes.
What a club. Who can possibly not like this team? Walt is right. No moves necessary. After tonight they will be five behind the Cardinals. Unless a miracle happens.

Anyone who thinks our offense doesn't need help is not watching this team. Regardless of the stats, this team has major problems scoring..

Re: Phillies @ Reds - Wednesday - 08/31/2011

The Reds played a total of three games against teams with a winning record this month. And are gonna finish at .500 for August. That should wake Walt up. They played 25 games against the dregs of the National League and could not manage a winning record for the month. Think about that and then tell me how close this team is.

I just depressed myself.

Why would they leave Cliff Lee in? Doesn't matter really.
