The Carolina bullpen gave up six runs (ho, hum) in the final three innings of a 7-2 defeat.

With a steal of home, Torreyes has officially became my favorite prospect.

Billings trails 5-1 (home run by Maddox) in the fourth. It's a first-place clash at Great Falls. Not so good for Guillon.

Re: Friday 09/02/11 Minor League Updates

The umpiring crew the Mudcats had was absolutely atrocious. They have been this way the entire year. The Braves batter kicked the ball as he left the batter's box. It would have been an easy play but because he kicked it, it forced Fleury to rush the throw and it was wild to first, scoring a run. Horrible crew the entire season. Brutal.

Aguido Gonzalez, back from the missing, is making his second appearance of the season, his first since June 20. Billings trails 7-2 in the seventh, in spite of outhitting Great Falls 11-10.

Bakersfield goes down 4-2. Sulbaran 11 Ks in 7 IP. No walks. Devin Lohman left the park. Sulbaran is still only 21. In 137 innings he has struck out 155 batters.
