If you have another gear then you weren't playing hard enough. IMO.

Yeah wasn't trying to get at that, just that when guys have money on the line it seems like they usually play with a something to prove attitude. He's had a really good year regardless.

Is hitting in the 4-spot akin to being a closer?

It's been the Bermuda Triangle for the 2011 Reds.

Was that Chris Heisey with another bomb? He can't start. Everyone knows that.

I bet Francisco win a Tundra for a fan if he stays with the club.

How power numbers are definitely impressive. Especially in our launchpad, he'd hit a lot of homers.

I think it's a crime he never got to start every day for a month. Maybe he fails. But he sure deserved a shot.

When Dusty makes up in his mind what your role is. That is it.

I can't remember Heisey hitting one to CF or RF, but he has that line drive into the LF bleachers down pretty well.
Yeah his injury came at an awful time for him. He's making a bid to at least be in a platoon next season though. With Yonder and Stubbs potentially out there, there's a lot of room to sit both of those guys to get Heisey in there regularly. |

Re: Cubs vs. Reds - Thursday 9/15/2011
Brantley made a comment early on about how stubborn Bailey is at the start of games to establish his fastball, to the point where he's just throwing it over and over and over. If Brantley knows it, you would think our catcher would pick up on it.
