Braves/Cards/Giants

I'm not trying to come in here and brag but this is truely amazing what is happening in the NL Wild Card. Cards beat Roy Halladay, winning the series 3-1 and the Braves blow a save on the last out. Now the Cards are 2.5 back and the Giants are 3.5. The Giants are catching up with the Diamondbacks as well. This is going to go down to the wire and I truely think the Braves are folding under pressure.

Thought you gave up on the season?

Just when he thought he was out, they pulled him back in.

I'd say Mike's comments on not caring more aptly fit our Reds. It sure looks like they're counting down the days 'till next Wednesday

Re: Braves/Cards/Giants

My wife thinks I'm crazy, but I just love the game and the Reds. Any night, something special can happen, and even when it doesn't, I think about those long cold nights of winter when I would give just about anything to be watching the Reds play.

Here's hoping the Cards lose out by one game. That would be hilarious!

In a one game playoff, with Crissy getting shelled and knocked out of the game by the 3rd inning.

I will gladly eat crow if the Cards pull this almost historic run off. Yes, I was wrong. Yes, I'm jumping back on the bandwagon, though I must say that at the time I bailed off the wagon, the wheels fell off and the engine was misfiring. I think a lot of fans jumped off at that time. Right now, they are playing so good that I'm actually putting off school work to see the team play, which I wasn't doing when they are putrid. They are an exciting team to watch and even when they lose, they give the other team just fits.

I'd suggest not one fan jumped off the bandwagon, because real fans always cheer for their team. Especially when they are losing.

Perhaps a bunch of bandwagoners jumped off, that might be true.

(Insert comeback explaining how long he's been a fan, etc.)

Re: Braves/Cards/Giants

Until my team is mathematically I will always choose to believe they can pull it off. After they are mathematically eliminated I will always choose to cheer for them anyway. Even with this disappointment of a season I won't stop watching the Reds. Winter is coming soon and we will all be desperate for baseball.
