Should MLB do what the NFL does

In the NFL you schedule the following season has a lot to do with how you finished. Teams with poor records usually play easier schedules then teams with winning records. So...to maybe help those teams that are bottom feeders in MLB since a salary cap won't ever happen, should the schedule of teams be put together in part by their final record?

They should cancel interleague, so everyone in your division plays the same teams roughly the same amount of times each year. But since $elig is still in charge that won't happen.

You shouldn't be given a pass because of how bad you played last year. Every team should have equal opportunity, at least within the schedule.

As long as MLB lets team spend 170 Million more than other teams - changing the schedule won't do a thing to help competition.

It's an amazing thing to look at:

The NFL plays only '2' games that are set up by a teams final standings. 6 games within divison, 4 with another confences division, inwhich every team within a team's own division plays, 4 with another division in same conference, inwhich every team within a team's own division plays. and 2 by standings....
Leave baseball alone.........unlike the BCS, this system works.

Re: Should MLB do what the NFL does

1. salary cap
2. eliminate interleague play
3. elminate divisions
4. 15 teams in each league playing the same schedule, best 5 or 6 teams make playoffs.
5. Get rid of guaranteed contracts. (per DocRed, I agree)
