Why did Reyes leave the game?

He beat out a bunt single. Maybe he tweaked his leg. I think he wasn't 100% to begin with.

Mets could not care less about this game. Volquez will probably pitch a gem.

Neither team wants to be on the field. I guess everyone got their numbers. Turn out the lights the party is over.

Dunn not in the lineup. Guess he is going to end the season at .159. Amazing. Dunn had to work hard to get under .160, going hitless in his last 23 ABs.

Wright gets an infield single and is pulled. I guess if you get a hit you are rewarded by coming out of the game. Single to center and the Mets score as Stubbs bobbles the ball.

Phillips not in the game either today. I guess Dusty is protecting Brandon's .300 batting average.

Once you get your numbers you don't want to lose them on the last day of the season. Baseball is a numbers game.

And if Brandon wasn't dealin' today at the plate, he'd be cryin' big time in a huge way when his average slipped below .300.

Janish needs to go an all-spinach diet.

Nah that wouldn't be like BP, he wants to play every day. He tweaked his quad in yesterday's game. Frazier had to finish the game at 2nd.

If the Reds had to win this game to make the playoffs, Phillips is out there. No questions asked. I would even add that if Phillips was sitting at .299 he is in the game.

I think he may have left so that he can (hopefully) lock up the NL batting title. Dusty might not the only one helping players get their stats...
