Yes, this last game was a make or break game for the season. Excellent point

The Reds obviously didn't care today.

Okay who would you have had hit leadoff? Also how many times did Stubbs strike out today?

If the Reds don't care why should i? Also, how many times did Stubbs reach base today, the main role of the leadoff hitter?

How many times did Mr. MVP reach base today? Stubbs put the ball into play I believe 3 out of 4 times AB, that is all you can ask of any hitter.

Regardless of what happened, today meant nothing.

The last two months meant nothing. This team played wayyy too many games down the stretch as if it meant nothing. It was a little bothersome if you ask me.

Re: so glad stubbs is still leading off

this is circular reasoning for the umpteenth time

you cant bat the league leader in strikeouts first second or even play the guy, At least with kingman, mark reynolds or rob deer even they would occasionally hit home runs, how dense does a person have to be to comprehend strikeouts and no power equals nothing

Huh? How many teams play guys who don't hit that well due to the other things they bring to the team and a lack of another option? Were you against the Reds playing Stubbs last season?

And before you say Heisey, for whatever reason Dusty doesn't see him as an everyday player. Now you can claim that is stupid, but to say playing Stubbs everyday is proof this team mailed in the season is just laughable.

Re: so glad stubbs is still leading off

your defense of the strike out king is laughable, its not that they played him its that they CONTINUED TO PLAY HIM, DID YOU LIKE THE FACT THAT YOUR HERO PLAYED EVERY GAME, DID YOU LIKE HIS BATTING AVERAGE, DID YOU LIKE HIS CONTACT RATE,,
