Yes, this last game was a make or break game for the season. Excellent point

How many times did Mr. MVP reach base today? Stubbs put the ball into play I believe 3 out of 4 times AB, that is all you can ask of any hitter.

Regardless of what happened, today meant nothing.

Re: so glad stubbs is still leading off
this is circular reasoning for the umpteenth time
you cant bat the league leader in strikeouts first second or even play the guy, At least with kingman, mark reynolds or rob deer even they would occasionally hit home runs, how dense does a person have to be to comprehend strikeouts and no power equals nothing |

And before you say Heisey, for whatever reason Dusty doesn't see him as an everyday player. Now you can claim that is stupid, but to say playing Stubbs everyday is proof this team mailed in the season is just laughable. Last edited by brm7675; 09-28-2011 at 06:21 PM. |

Re: so glad stubbs is still leading off
your defense of the strike out king is laughable, its not that they played him its that they CONTINUED TO PLAY HIM, DID YOU LIKE THE FACT THAT YOUR HERO PLAYED EVERY GAME, DID YOU LIKE HIS BATTING AVERAGE, DID YOU LIKE HIS CONTACT RATE,,
