Reds sign Brett Tomko to minor league contract

http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/0...ett-tomko.html

Quote:
The Reds have agreed to sign right-hander Brett Tomko to a minor league deal, MLBTR has learned. The 14-year veteran split the 2011 season between the Rangers and their Triple-A affiliate.
Can Mike Cameron and Antonio Perez be far behind?

Tomko broke in with the Reds in 1997, spending three seasons in Cincinnati before being traded to Seattle in the Ken Griffey Jr. deal.

The Reds have now kept alive the trade for Junior. The Reds get back one of the players they had to trade for Junior.

Maybe we can trade him for Trey Griffey in 2015?

Is this like Jerry Rice signing a one day contract so he could retire a 49er?

Looks like we finally got an opening day starter!

That's an amazing statement."

My exact thought when I saw this was, "Is this 2000?"

Wow, talk about a blast from the past.

IDK he was still pitching either.
