Kristopher Negron has a "serious right knee injury" and is being evaluated by Dr.Kremcheck, would not be surprised to see LaMarre in Louisville tomorrow.

Reds sign outfielder Xavier Paul. He'll report to Louisville.

Re: 2012 Minor League Transactions
Thought the Reds might take a flyer on him when I saw he hit waivers given our lack of AAA OF depth.

Re: 2012 Minor League Transactions
Love this move. Lefty hitting OF who is a decent defender and has had success in the high minors. A guy named Xavier just may be destined to thrive in Cincy. I'd rather have him than Cairo right now.

Re: 2012 Minor League Transactions
With HRod already there and Didi & Paul on their way, L'Vile should be a lot more interesting (if not better). It would surprise me if Beau Mills and at least one of Feldhauer and LaMarre aren't soon to follow (with Lutz and Bowe to the Wahoos to replace them). Mills and Soto can alternate between 1B & DH, although I'd like to see them possibly try Mills at 3B and LF a little.

Re: 2012 Minor League Transactions
Brett Tomko and Chris Valaika began their rehab assignments in Arizona. Devin Lohman was activated from Bakersfield's disabled list, and Billy Hamilton said on twitter that he's being promoted to Pensacola. It will be interesting to see what happens with Did Gregorius at that point.

Re: 2012 Minor League Transactions
Could this result in a Janish call-up? I feel like he has earned it, and I would love nothing more than to cut Wilson Valdez from the roster.

Re: 2012 Minor League Transactions
It's interesting he's leading the IL in batting avg. Opts for Free agency due to an "out clause" and is now taking another gig in the IL. I suppose he and his agent think the path to the MLB is easier through the Cincy org.

Re: 2012 Minor League Transactions
At this point I'd rather have him over Cairo. I suspect he might get the call next time Scott Rolen (or some other non-catcher) goes on the DL.
