Another disappointing effort from Latos today. Didn't have a "put away" pitch that he could throw when he needed to.

Another disappointing game from this "offense." Latos had to toss the shutout to get a win today.

He's pitch inefficient and takes mental vacations against hitters he needs to dominate.

Bad trend, but it is only two games.

The offense needs to give him support too. Watching this team try to hit right now is pathetic.

Well the inning is finally mercifully over. And the game probably is as well, since I don't see this offense scoring 2 runs, much less 3.

He's allowed 2 runs through 5 innings and you all are acting like he's the worst pitcher since Jeff Austin.

Have you watched this offense lately? I'd be shocked if they get 3 hits the rest of the game, much less 3 runs. They are that bad right now. I know they'll come around eventually, but right now they're terrible, sans a few guys.

It's not an outing you'd expect from a #1 stater, which is what he's supposed to be for us.

If I wanted to watch a pitcher nibble at the corners, issue walks and give up base hits to pitchers and C-level major leaguers, I can fire up YouTube and search for clips of Jose Acevedo.

Mat Latos needs to be better than this if the team wants any shot of competing.

And the offense is just putrid right now.
