Donnie Joseph

Any chance he would be ready if needed this year around the allstar breark? I know he had some struggles last year, but he's a 24 year old lefty with a minor league career 12.2 K/9.

Seems like he's off to a great start in Pensacola 9 Inn, 4/4 saves, 13 k's, whip .9

I could see him being a September callup if he continues to dominate. Who knows- maybe sooner if Bray doesn't come back.

Re: Donnie Joseph

If he can throw his slider in the strikezone, he could be ready by then. That was his biggest problem last year and guys laid off of it and waited for the fastball. But if he can throw his slider in the zone, guys don't have much of a chance with an above-average fastball and a plus slider if he can locate them both.

Re: Donnie Joseph

He's Ryan Wagner at this point. The first time through the league, he'll feast.

The question is whether he'll adapt as hitters adapt.

He really struggled at adapting last season.

Let's see how he does when the league sees him more than once or twice.

To be fair, the odds are solid that plenty of these guys have seen him by this point. The opposition is probably guys who have seen him from Dayton, Bakersfield or Carolina. I am sure there are some guys who haven't seen him, but there are plenty who have and almost all of the managers have.

That's nice. I've seen him do a broadcast professionally, and it wasn't very good. I give him credit for his resilience, though.
