Leake better be on his game. This Pirate's pitcher has been pretty stout his last two outings.

Re: Reds vs. Pirates Saturday 5/5

This should be Leake's "trial" start if you will. If he has a bad outing it's time elevate Chapman's role either as the closer or a rotation role. Chapman too good to be used as a lefty specialist or set up man. Marshall is more comfortable as the 8th inning guy and Aroldis would relish the chance to start or close games out.

News flash..The Cardinal's are still good. Time to start defining the roles of impact players on this team.

He also went 114 pitches last game, so he's apparently on a fairly long leash. Working the count is always good, but the offense is ultimately going to have to put up some runs to force him out of the game.

It also appears that McCutchen is back in the lineup for the Pirates after missing the past few days from illness.

Re: Reds vs. Pirates Saturday 5/5

It seems like we face a hot pitcher every game. Are there not any struggling starters out there?

2nd BB. Is that Mike Leake or his Doppleganger?

I didn't expect Cozart to be so good defensively. He's as slick as it gets.
