Re: 5/8/12 - Reds at Brewers
Morgan singles to left. 0-2 again. Grrrrr.

Homer should try getting into some 3-0 counts.

Weeks walks. Should've been gone. No clue where that 2-2 pitch missed.

Re: 5/8/12 - Reds at Brewers
Sounds like Homer has absolutely no advantage with two strikes on people.

Re: 5/8/12 - Reds at Brewers
Ramirez pops up to Votto in foul ground to end the inning. 3-0 Brewers.

Re: 5/8/12 - Reds at Brewers
And all of this, again, after the first two were retired. Homer needed 67 pitches to get six outs. Unacceptable.

Is any of this related to Mes?

Quote:
He's also made a couple of poor 2 strike pitches, like that one to Braun just now. Hung a breaker there. Overall, he's not really pitching poorly, he just can't put guys away for some reason. He's throwing strikes, so that's not the problem. 67 pitches, 43 strikes, 24 balls. Not a bad ratio at all.

Re: 5/8/12 - Reds at Brewers
Welsh noted that Homer has been shaking Mes off a bunch so far. Not sure if that means anything.

Re: 5/8/12 - Reds at Brewers
I think it's more the fact that Homer's breaking ball isn't great today and the Brewers hitters are doing a great job of wasting pitches.
