Having Chapman in the bullpen and having Marshall close games makes absolutely no sense. At all. There is zero explanation for it.

At some point I do think this team is really going to have to consider switching roles for Chapman and Marshall.

Marshall is a great pitcher, but not a closer. If they are going to keep Chapman in the pen, need to think of using him as the closer.

I really don't think Marshall is cut out to be a closer, but here he is by necessity

Chapman faced the heart of the order. If Marshall doesn't have it, he would have been clobbered by the 8th inning group.

You can't hide a guy pitching him in the eighth. Marshall just has to pitch a little better.

He's now ahead of Russell Martin, but he's a tough hitter.
