Cozart, 2012 NL Gold Glover?

I know he's just a rookie, but he's made only 3 errors in 45 games and 41 starts - tied for the lowest # of errors by any starter in the NL. Certainly one of the flashiest and most consistent fielders of the first half. Any disputes at this point???

Not as good in the field as Janish (who is hitting by the way in AAA)

He makes the routine plays more than Yanish.

Sure would like to have Janish back instead of Constanzo or Cairo or Valdez

He's another "great guy".....last year Cairo was better off the bench.....but Janish is probably the better choice right now.

Janish has nothing on Cozart. There isn't a better defensive shortstop in the league right now than Zack.

No dispute here. I've been saying the same thing for the past month. If no politics are involved, Cozart is definitely a Gold Glover. We should have three infielders get one this year.

Costanzo was hitting in AAA as well.

Time will tell, but I suspect Cozart has a better chance of being an asset defensively and offensively than Janish does. Although it is hard to argue that Janish would be any worse right now than Costanzo, Cairo, or Valdez.
