Difference in the game to me was Homer going brain dead and allowing Revere to steal 3rd without even sliding....that run was the difference and a complete mental breakdown.....he already stole one before!

Valdez looks good in CF and batting 2nd now. Maybe Rolen will be okay for cleanup. The way we're playing right now a lineup of BP, Valdez,Votto,Rolen, Bruce is worth a shot. Need to fix the two guys before Votto.

Bailey's mechanics were really screwed up last night. No wonder he looked tired at 75 pitches.
I prefer the 2009 mechanical version over what Price has him doing. It was more fluid, better velocity and movement. He still wasn't a refined pitcher by that point, who knows how good he would be if they had kept that mechanical platform. I got to wonder if that isn't Latos's problem as well. The Reds fascination with pitch to contact and control doesn't work for all pitchers. Yet, they pigeonhole. |
