Rolen had THREE great baserunning decisions that inning. First, being able to get all the way to third off his hit to right. Second, going down in foul and back in fair territory to avoid getting thrown out on the missed squeeze play. Third, follow the third baseman down the line on the bunt. You can go as far as he does and then make your decision from there. Scott has great fundamentals and the younger players hopefully learn from his baseball smarts. That is why his value is more than just his numbers. He is a PROFESSIONAL baseball player who knows how to play the game.
