Re: 6/25/12 - Reds vs. Brewers

It'll be interesting to check the stats after the game and see the % of sliders Latos has thrown tonight.

It seems that Latos is pitching great tonight.

Re: 6/25/12 - Reds vs. Brewers

Win, lose, or draw, if Latos can pitch like this that trade was a great one for the Reds. Don't know how his career turns out, but in terms of potential, this guy is off the charts.

12 Ks against the Brew crew. But even more impressive, his heater is fabulous and his breaking ball is equally excellent.

Guy is a potential ace, now needs consistency. Wow, great outing.

LOL. I was going to mention that his 18 game hitting streak was on the line too. :O)

You're much braver than I haha. I'd let Latos finish this.

Single to lead off the inning. Bloop hit. Drew will take it.

Re: 6/25/12 - Reds vs. Brewers

With Ramirez, a home run righty coming up to lead off the ninth, I think Latos gets to begin the ninth. There's no pitcher in the bullpen I trust more against Ramirez than Latos right now.

Dominating performance by Latos... IMO no other pitcher on the staff is really capable of games like that. Cueto just doesnt overpower like that, more of a control guy that gets K with good location. Great job by Latos.

Re: 6/25/12 - Reds vs. Brewers

You gotta wonder when Latos gets a couple more years of maturity on him, that some of these inconsistent starts will become fewer and further between. At that point, the Reds may have a legitimate ace on their hands.

I wouldn't rule out Chapman later in the inning if there is trouble.

But against Ramirez and Hart, two righty home run threats? ABC.
