Poor Mes. Trying to be patient, getting called out on strikes frequently.
Tough being a rookie. |

Re: 6.29.12 Reds @ SF Giants
I've never, ever seen a player work harder in pregame than Rolen. It's almost over the top. Grounder after grounder after grounder after grounder.
At his age, and in his condition, that cannot be a positive.

Re: 6.29.12 Reds @ SF Giants
Is it sad that on that Leake home run, all that I could think about was the 2008-09 debate about Micah Owings' place in the Reds' rotation?

Re: 6.29.12 Reds @ SF Giants
I wonder if the adrenaline of hitting a home run causes a pitcher to overthrow.

Cabrera leads off with a single. Posey up. Reds by four, bottom six.

Not Leake. He's like Hannibal Lechter. Cooler than the other side of the pillow.

Double play on Leake's 70th pitch.

Re: 6.29.12 Reds @ SF Giants
By my count Leake and Arroyo are the "junkballers" of the staff. Yet they are the pitchers most likely to hit a home run. Go figure.

Re: 6.29.12 Reds @ SF Giants
Pagan singles to left, hard hit grounder Rolen couldn't get to.
