Dusty's Lineup if He Managed '75 Reds

For the Dusty defenders this is largely (but not completely) tongue-in-cheek

Dusty being Dusty. If he had managed the '75 Reds his lineup and rationale for his lineup would have been:
1) Geronimo - he is fast and plays center field and thus must bat first
2) Concepcion - can't put Griffey here because it would be back to back lefties and we gotta get Davy goin' - except if it's Sunday (see below)
3) Rose - because third base is a power position and he's too slow to lead off
4) Perez - he's right handed, first base is a power position, and he's too slow to hit higher in the lineup - except if it's Sunday (see below)
5) Foster - two lefties in a row can't happen, but two righties are okay - although, if it's Sunday I will bat Armbrister here as he will need to play with Plummer, Chaney, Crowley, and Flynn at the same time - those guys are all playing for contracts next year
6) Morgan - for reasons explained below, even though he takes way too many walks for my liking, except if it's Sunday (see above)
7) Bench - even though he's the catcher and should bat eighth, I can't put two lefties together in the form of Morgan and Griffey (a fatal flaw that was apparently missed by Sparky Anderson), except if it is Sunday (see above)
8) Griffey - could hit second or seventh, but can't do that and bat center fielder lead off or without violating the 11th Commandment which state's that thou shalt not bat two lefties in row.

The most enjoyable thing about this lineup would be putting together a pitching staff that only batted right handed. Otherwise, you could have three lefties in a row which is likely to make Dusty's head explode.

Morgan wouldn't be allowed to steal in front of Bench.

This thread would be very funny if it weren't true.

My God, you're right!

It would be freaking hilarious if it weren't the absolute truth.

I know you are kidding, but as I vaguely recall, Sparky more or less did this, particularly in 75 every Sunday. Except for Rose, there were a lot of 'flu symptoms' on Sundays. Due to injuries and Sundays the Big Red Machine didn't play together that much, but had an unreal winning % when they did. IIRC it is over 70% when the great 8 played together in 75-76.

Sparky was an overrated manager. The 75/76 team made him some kind of genius that he really wasn't. Even Dusty could've drew everyone's name out of a hat that made the lineup and they would've rolled out of bed and won 100 games.
