Re: Sunday 7/08/2012 Minor-League Updates

Jonathan Mascot gets the start tonight for Goodyear. He surrendered an unearned run in 1.1 innings. He did not allow a hit, but he did allow a 4 walks, he also had a K. He was relieved by Longi Pineda who allowed 5 (2 earned) in the top of the 3rd on thtree hits and two walks. He did K two in 1.1. Robert Lewis-Walker came in to K the last batter of the inning.

The AZL Reds trail the Dodger affiliate 6-0 after three. A Ty Washington triple and an Avain Rachal doublr have been the sum total offense for the Reds. Looks like Winker is getting a day off.

Reds trail 7-4 in the seventh. Vaughn Covington has pitched a hitless inning with 2 K.

Re: Sunday 7/08/2012 Minor-League Updates

The Goodyear Redlets are clawing their way back with two in the bottom of the sixth. Avain Rachal singled, stole second and came home on a single by Wilfrel Estevez who was cut down trying for an extra base. Daniel Paula, Bryan Arias and Humberto Valor follow that with three consecutive singles (Valor getting the RBI). Had Estevez made it to second they may have had a much bigger inning.

7-4 Dodgers after six.

Abel De Los Santos comes on to pitch the top of the ninth. He allows a walk, but strikes out the other three batters in the inning. On to the bottom of the ninth.
