Second half predictions.
What is everyone's second half predictions? I'm going to go homer on this:
1. Sticking with my original prediction that Matt Holliday will win the NL MVP. He's arguably the hottest hitter in baseball right now and I can see him continuing to be locked in. 2. Adam Wainwright will win more than 16 games. 3. Mike Trout will win AL rookie of the year and AL MVP. 4. Pujols will get voted in the top 10 of AL MVP's. 5. The Yankees will blow out the AL East and it will be a laugher in the last month. 6. The LA Doyers will fall back to second place in the NL West. 7. The Braves will win the AL East. 8. The Cardinals will win the NL Central on the last day of the year. They become the first NL team since the Big Red Machine to win back to back World Series. Here are my playoff teams: NL: Giants, Cardinals, Braves, Reds AL: Yankees, Angels, White Sox, Rangers

Re: Second half predictions.
NL Division winners: Washington, Reds & Giants
NL Wild Cards Braves & Pirates AL Division Winners: Yankees,White Sox & Rangers AL Wild Cards: Angels & Tigers Giants will play the Rangers in the World Series and the Rangers will finally win a world championship I look for Bruce to have a big 2nd half and along with Votto be the keys to winning the division. I also predict Jocketty will pull off a nice trade that will bring in a key player to put at the top of the order that will eventually make the difference in the 2012 Reds.

Re: Second half predictions.
Unless Walt makes at least one move to bolster the lineup (leadoff or cleanup), I see the Reds battling the Pirates for second behind the Cards.
Of course, in all of our discussions about acquiring someone with a higher OBP to leadoff, we have completely disregarded the very real possibility that even if they did acquire a sutiable player, Dusty might hit him seventh or eighth. |

Re: Second half predictions.
My predictions:
Matt Holliday doesn't win the MVP. Adam Wainwright doesn't win 16 games. The Cardinals don't win back-to-back World Series. Or even reach back-to-back World Series. The Braves won't win the AL East, since that's impossible because they play in the NL East. Mat Latos and Johnny Cueto both receive some Cy Young votes.

Re: Second half predictions.
1. The Nationals and Pirates have poor second halves and are out of contention come September.
2. Joey Votto wins the MVP in a close race over Matt Kemp 3. Despite others having better numbers, Matt Cain wins the NL CY Young 4. The Phillies are blown up with Hamels going to the Yanks and Victorino heading towards the Reds. 5. In an attempt to boost offense the NL West petitions the Commish to allow them to use a DH. 6. Reds, Dodgers, and Braves win the divisions and the Giants win the WC. 7. Lets see the AL, Tigers, Yanks, and Rangers win the divisions. The Rays and Angles battle it out for the WC with the Rays winning. 8. Josh Hamilton wins the AL MVP. |

Re: Second half predictions.
1. Andrew Mccutchen wins NL MVP. Pirates are either NL Central winner or Wildcard and James McDonald ends up with Cy Young votes.
2. The Mets catch the Nationals in the NL East 3. Bryce Harper ends up hitting around .260 4. Mike Trout wins AL MVP 5. Votto runner up to NL MVP 6. Not sure of the Reds fate anymore. At all.

Re: Second half predictions.
If the Reds get one game away from the World Series, half this board is going to need to be put on suicide watch.
